ALT/ANML is made for the wired, the wild, and the nocturnal - the alt animals who thrive in the shadows and dance to their own rhythms.
Inspired by the way creatures build relationships through sound, we’ve developed a unique fusion of science and EDM culture, creating merch that speaks to both the animal nerd and the night owl in all of us.
This isn’t just merch; it’s science communication you can wear like a badge of honor. Everything we create is as loud and proud as the creatures we celebrate.
And it also makes being a science nerd cooler than ever.
WHAT SETS US APART
Sick of the same flimsy Gildan tees? Or worse… shirts with no brand tag at all? Yeah, us too.
That’s why we’re proud to name-drop: we use premium streetwear blanks from Shaka Wear - built to last, actually comfortable, and not something you’ll relegate to pajama duty after two washes.
Every piece is silkscreened by hand at Gowanus Print Lab in Brooklyn. Our acrylic pins come from Sira Print, a family-owned shop in Toronto - our former home until January 2025. Stickers and prints? Hand-printed, laminated, and cut with care right at home.
Everything we offer is created in small batches - never mass-produced and never drop shipped. That means we see, touch, and check every single piece before it reaches you. Because if it’s got our name on it, it’s going to be something we’d wear ourselves.
We believe every piece should feel intentional, from the materials chosen to the hands that make it, resulting in products built to be worn, used, and loved for years.
